Slip N Slide Saturday

We set up the $5 slip n slide on Saturday, and the girls invited over their friends, and they had endless summer fun (well okay for about an hour). I love summer days like this!

It finally came out!

Laurens been waiting for a long time for her front tooth (or teeth) to fall out. It seems all of her friends have already lost theirs. When I got home from girls camp, this was the big suprize! So happy for you Lauren!

Girls Camp

Our ward was Wonder Women

I serve in the Young Women's in our ward, and that means GIRLS CAMP! In the beginning I wasn't so sure about this, because I don't love camping. I don't hate camping either, I just don't love it. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this time up in the dirt! We have an amazing group of Girls and leaders, and they made it fabulous. We had this Delicious dutch oven pizza one night that was incredible. The impromptu talk they asked me to give was a little bit stressful. And I didn't sleep one minuet the whole night, (I was only able to go for 2 days and 1 night)but all in all I just loved it, and love our girls. I feel very blessed to be their leader.

We had a Fathers Day weekend at our house this year. On Saturday we planned to have a BBQ and to go ride the go-karts down at Miller Motersports Park with my Family. So my brothers Todd and Chad came out and my parents and sis. Well first shot we got rained out. We decided to go home and have our BBQ lunch and try again later. Our BBQ was indoor thanks to the rain, but it finally let up and we ran back down to the track. We paid, got geared up as you can see....and then it began to pour. No karting. We were disappointed, but we will try again, we have all summer. We had a good time together anyway! Sunday we had a yummy breakfast, and went to Church. I had to speak in sacrament meeting, and it went pretty well. After we were off to another BBQ at Brad and Judy's house. It was fun to see all of Scott's family, and it didn't rain...Yeah! We had a great weekend. I'm thankful for a great dad, and husband. I feel very blessed to have such great men in my life. I love you guys, and thank you.

Rainy day at Lagoon

Yesterday we took our annual trip to Lagoon. Lagoon has an elected officals pass that we have been lucky enough to get since Scott's been on the City Council. We get to go to Lagoon for free...Yipee! Well this year we had to pay a whole $5 a person...still Yipee! We could choose Wed., Thurs., or Friday but Wed. was the only day this week that would work for us. Scott has been downtown all day waiting to testify in a lawsuit that the city is involved in (not Yippee), and I have Youth Conference tomorrow. So Wed. it was rain or shine. When we got there it was just cloudy. We ate our lunch, used the bathroom, and came out to a down pour! We took shelter for about 10 minuets and then it cleared. We ran into some friends of ours there, the Furgeson Family which was great. Jack and Tanner rode together, and Lauren and Hannah got to ride together, with Emma. Then about 6:00 it stormed again, and didn't let up this time. We knew we would be leaving soon so we just got wet! Rain or shine it was a great day. Till next year Lagoon.

The last day of school

Lauren's first grade teacher Mrs. Howell

Emma's third grade teacher Ms. Barrington

The last day of School is always bitter sweet for me. I love that summer is starting, but I always have a hard time believing that another school year has come and gone, and my kids are a whole grade older. As I walk down the bare halls I always feel myself getting emotional. Thank you Ms. Barrington, and Mrs. Howell, we appreciate all you have taught our girls this past year!

Jack Said...

I just had to write this down so I didn't forget. One of Jack's favorite things to do is Mow the lawn, and work out in the yard with his dad. Today Scott had told him that they were going to use the tiller. When we looked out the window and saw rain, Jack said "It's not raining, the sky is just leaking and the leaves are catching it"! In his mind, this meant that he could still work in the yard with dad, because it wasn't raining...!
