Trick or Treat

Scott had a University of Utah Football game on Halloween night, so I packed up the kids and went to my parents house. After doing all this blogging today I have realized we have been there a lot lately....sorry Mom and Dad, I hope your not too sick of us! We love being with you, and Thank You for always having us around. We set out about 6:15, and traveled all around the neighborhood. Wow we saw some festive houses! Several families were having Hot Cocoa and Root Beer. One house was even BBQing hot dogs if you wanted one! After the kids bags were getting too heavy, we headed for home. Another Great Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving

After a afternoon of shopping at Gardner Village we carved our pumpkins back at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I was up to my shoulders in pumpkin guts with our 53 pound pumpkin. Scott called that he didn't have to do that one....not fair. Jack had a lot of fun stabbing his little pumpkin and helping dig out the seeds. We put candles in them to see how they looked. I love the smell of burning pumpkins. Takes me right back to childhood, isn't it funny how just a smell can do that?

Lunch and The Witches at Garder Village

The Kids were out of school on Thursday and Friday before Halloween. We decided to meet Grandma and Taylor in at Gardner Village. We ate a Yummy lunch at Archibald's restaurant. Jack had a ball climbing under the table to switch sides frequently. Jack was having a day. Scottie had Jack duty while the girls did some shopping. Sorry honey...Scott and Jack had to leave early, Jack wasn't on his best behavior that day. We love Gardner Village especially at this fun time of year. The Witches were cute as ever. And no trip to the Village is complete without a trip to the candy store.

Meet Ute Girl

Emma has been wanting a pet Hamster for almost a year now. She has done all the research on what kind to get, what to feed them, what kind of cage to buy. Seriously the girl is amazing (and a little bit obsessed)! Since a dog is out of the picture right now, I thought maybe we could handle a hamster after all. The day before her birthday (her birthday fell on a Sunday this year) we went into Salt Lake to get "Ute Girl" and all her accessories!

Emma's 10th birthday Party

About a month before her birthday Emma was talking to Grandma about ideas. Grandma said she would host the Halloween costume, birthday party. What an amazing job she did! In Grandma Mooch style she went all out! All kinds of decorations, balloons, pinata (full of candy and spooky things), games and prizes. We had so much fun celebrating Emma's 10th birthday. Thank You Mom and Dad for all you do, you sure know how to throw a party!

The annual Fall Festival

We bought our house from Jeff and Linda England 3 years ago. They were the ones who began the Fall Festival tradition. We love you guys!

This was our first blog entry one year ago! It's that time of year again...I love it! We had the annual Fall Festival last night in the back yard, and it was a wonderful evening. Complete with big slide, Yummy food, great people and perfect weather (well perfect for fall that is). We love our Ward and neighborhood, and feel so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.

Logan

last year at this time we were in Disneyland. On Sunday morning Scott and I were trying to figure out a way that we could go back. We had such a fun time and were wishing we could just sit on the beach and soak up the sun again. We tried to work out schedules, school, work, location. How cool would that be to just say "hey kids we are going to California today"! Not very realistic, but we tried to make something happen. We went from California, to Las Vegas, to St. George (then we looked at the weather forecast and it was only going to be 75 deg. in both places. If we couldn't swim and relax by the pool, why make the long drive?) So we ended up going to Logan. Opposite direction I know, and not very warm, but realistic for being spontaneous! We did this a few times when the kids were younger and they love doing all the same things...Lunch at Maddox, Pettingils produce stand for pumpkins, walking around Utah State campus while dad tells stories about his college days, Bear park zoo, The book table, and a hotel with a swimming pool. Its all about making memories and having traditions. We had a great time and did just that!
