Selfless Act

So this weekend we were in Salt Lake and we went to Build a Bear, one of the girls favorite places. They had some gift cards and coupons. Jack wanted a bear, and Emma had her Kitty she had made and a cute Golf outfit she was going to dress her in. She said "mom, if I don't get the outfit would I have enough money to buy Jack a bear"? She was so happy watching Jack pick out and stuff his bear. We were so pleased with her decision to help her brother.

Transfer to Stansbury

Scott has been transferred to go teach at the new Stansbury Seminary at Stansbury High, that will be opening in the fall. We had been out on Thursday night and came home to this sweet message on Scott's car left by his students. Thank-you that meant a lot to him. We will miss you too!

Memorial weekend Trip to St. George

The Boys... Rob, Scott, & Isaac

The "big" Girls table

Our Trip to St. George for Memorial weekend was full of Good Friends, Good food, and Good Times! Eating is one of my favorite parts of vacation, and we enjoyed food from the Pizza Factory in Cedar City, and In-N-Out burger in St. George. We had Yummy breakfast's in the mornings and dinners at night. Can't forget desert... Chocolate Pie from Costco that Sandra introduced us to a couple of weeks ago, Yum, Yum! The kids had a blast swimming, swimming, and playing at the Sand Dunes up Snow canyon. The weather was awesome. The boys were able to golf 18 holes on Saturday morning, and girls (mom's) enjoyed laying out by the pool while the Dad's watched the kids swim. It was another fabulous Memorial weekend with the Furness and Wardle families. Can't wait till next year!

The WWF (Wardle, Wardle, Furness families) annual memorial weekend getaway

So first I need to explain the relationship that we have with these 2 amazing families! The Furness' & The Wardle's (and yes we are related...found out after we were friends that Isaac and Scott's dad are cousins...crazy!) We met these cute couples when we were very first married. We were in the same ward together, and all lived in the South Willow apartments in West Jordan. Rob and Tracy were married the day before us, and had their reception at the same place, The Carmell. We actually wanted to get married on the 24th of August, but the reception center was booked already! Later we found out that they got it first! (Just a funny fact). Sandra and Isaac were married just a couple of weeks later. The first memorial trip was planned to go to Fish Lake. We had to cancel because Scott was put in the bishopric that week and we felt we needed to stay. Turns out that was a good trip to miss. They woke up to 6 inches of snow, in their soggy tents. (So sorry we missed that one) In years past we've been to Park City, St. George, camping, cabins, and Moab and that was a hair raising experience (Literally)! Rain, lightning, hail, snow, we've seen in all, so I think that's why we decided to go to St. George again. We seem to have the best luck with the weather there. We love our WWF. We have gone from a group of 6 (3 couples) to a group of 17 (with children)! We will be friends always. They are wonderful people, with wonderful families. We are blessed to have them in our lives. We love you guys.

Breakfast at the Miracle Mile Mall

Scott goes down to Las Vegas with the city to the ICSC convention (International convention for shopping centers), to talk to developers and retailers, make contacts, and help bring retail to our little town of Tooele. I get to tag along, we just purchase my plane ticket and food and stuff and I get to relax and enjoy! While Scottie was in meetings I got to sit by the pool and read (I got almost two books read this year, last year was Twilight, and so the obsession began). Vegas is not my favorite city, although there is a lot to see (and a whole lot you don't want to see), but it was great to be with Scott, when he wasn't working and to relax and soak up the sun! 105 was the high I believe. Good times, good food, and I got to be with my favorite person. I tried to get some pics of us, like I've said before we get so many of the kids that we forget to get ones of us, I'm trying to be better about that. It's always nice to come home though. Our kids had just as much,if not more with their grandparents who took them awesome places, and out to eat. Thanks you guys, we appreciate you soooo much!

Year End Dance Recital

On saturday evening the girls had their year end dance recital. They both had a ballet number and a jazz number. They also did a dance with their daddy that stole the show. Scott has been going to dance practices with the girls a couple of nights a week for the past couple of months. It was a treat to see them dance together, a sweet treat! The girls did amazing at all their dances, and it was such a joy to see how they have grown and improved over the years. All the Grandparents came to watch, and even Brinley, one of Laurens best friends, Thank you all for your support! I can't believe how time flies and another year of dance is over, and almost another school year too. Your growing up too fast girlie's, slow down... I love you so much, what a fun evening to watch you perform, my Emma and my Lauren.

Jack's in Heaven

Jack and Richard aka President Droubay
Jack loves to look over the fence at the hoarses
On Saturday afternoon Scott and Jack were working in the yard (Jackson's all time favorite pastime)and our wonderful neighbor Richard Droubay helped us till our garden with the use of his tractor. It took him a matter of minuets to do what would have taken us all afternoon. He gave Jack a ride back to his house on the tractor and Jack was in heaven. We are so blessed to have such fabulous neighbors that we love all around us, Thanks again Richard!
