Emma's Pet Bob

So The kids really wanted a dog, but this is about all I felt like I could handle!
Meet Bob the fish. Emma got a Walmart gift card for Christmas, from her Grandma Julie, and Grandpa Richard. She Knew just what she wanted to spend it on... a Fish! She budgeted it all out, bowl..decoration (no fishing sign)... food and fish. She was so excited to go and get him on Saturday, she loves him! And I think I can handle a Fish... Compromise!

Ute's Parade

On Friday the girls didn't have school, and Scott took the day off. We headed into Salt Lake for the The University of Utah Football parade. It started at 3:00 pm and we arrived about 30 mins. early and had perfect seats (well you know... standing seats) all was well except that Scott forgot his coat...I guess in the loading of the van, and making sure everyone else had a coat, he forgot his own??? The weather was great though, a great day for a parade! Until the parade took a route down the opposite side of the divided street and everyone ran to stand in the median and we couldn't see much of anything. But we got to hear the band, and be part of the celebration. They even had donuts shaped like U's and hot cider. We had a good time. After we decided to go to The Old Spagetti Factory, at Trolley Square. We saw several other Ute families, and enjoyed our salad, spagetti, and spumoni Ice cream! Go Utes!

SUGAR BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!! HOW SWEET IT IS!

I have hijacked the blog page...to let you know about the greatest game in the history of man...ok..that's a little over the top...but it was AWESOME!!! For Christmas Courtney gave me a trip to the Sugar Bowl with her Dad Ron, my brother Brad and my nephew Ryan. We spent some time on Bourbon Street. I really don't know what the big deal was there was nothing going on at 11:00 a.m (Duh) I brought a suitcase full of beads to hand out, I hear that is the custom, however I had no idea what they were for. My experience on Burbon Street can be summed up like this, it just smelled like pee. At the Utes hotel we ran into President Young, the president of the University of Utah. I am sure glad their family has seen the light and left the school down south. The food was amazing!!! Beans and rice in the south is incredible. The Alabama fans were great...except for the part when we were too loud, too good and when we crushed their team. They kept asking us throughout the day what a UTE was...I guess they now know...we are pretty much the best team in America. It was great to be with Court's dad, my brother and my nephew.
